Another titbit about Intequam, one of Lata's few & famous cabaret songs "Aa janejan" was brought to life by Helen in this movie. Apollo version has 150 minutes of running time reduced to 110 minutes.

Do you mean too many or too few??

If you meant, so many have contributed, then credit goes to Sadhna's fan following. Thread that started as ULFAT film, turned into Sadhna. Just a few pretty pictures of Sadhna will do great for this thread.

Help! Any one??

Here are what I consider to be the 10 best songs of Sadhana....

1. Bedardi Balma - Lata Mangeshkar (Arzoo, 1965)
2. Kaun Aaya - Asha Bhosle (Waqt, 1965)
3. Lag Ja Gale Se - Lata Mangeshkar (Woh Koun Thi, 1964)
4. Bairagi Bhanwara - Lata Mangeshkar (Ishq Par Zor Nahin, 1970)
5. Mere Mehboob Tujhe - Lata Mangeshkar (Mere Mehboob, 1963)
6. Tera Mera Pyar Amar - Lata Mangeshkar (Asli Naqli, 1962)
7. Aaja Aayi Bahaar - Lata Mangeshkar (Raj Kumar, 1964)
8. Suniya Zara Dikhiye Na - Lata Mangeshkar (Geeta Mera Naam, 1974)
9. Geet Tere Saaz Ka - Lata Mangeshkar (Intaqam, 1969)
10. Parda Hata Do - Asha Bhosle & Mohd Rafi (Ek Phool Do Mali, 1969)

Just my opinion, and not in any order!

I stole this from Indofilms

Born in 1941, Sadhana migrated to India from Karachi during post-partition riots. Sadhana Shivdasani admired films and so did her family. Her father named her after his favorite actress, Sadhana Bose. Sadhana's family granted her the permission to watch films twice a week. So interested she was in films that this Auxilium Convent and Jai Hind College graduate grabbed the opportunity to act in India's first Sindhi film Abana in 1958. She was paid only Re. 1 for this film. But the lucky star shone on her when S. Mukherji offered her the main lead in the film Love in Simla in 1960. Sadhana introduced the Sadhana Cut - the famous fringe hairstyle and created a new fashion. Sadhana kept on receiving good offers and proved her versatility in films like Hum Dono in 1961, Mere Mehboob in 1963, Rajkumar in 1964 and Waqt in 1965. Out of the 19 films that she did in 1960, 11 were silver jubilees and Sadhana became one of the top actresses. Not only soft romantic roles, she also excelled in suspense thrillers like Wo Kaun Thi in 1964, Mera Saaya in 1966 and Anita in 1967. Some of her co-stars were Shammi Kapoor, Rajendar Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Manoj Kumar. In the year 1966, she married director R. K. Nayyar and left the industry for marital bliss. But Sadhana's unforgettable beauty is still fresh in everyone's mind.

Oh I see. So that was a minor error.:)

Anyway, now try this one (similar problem):

Make it right:

5+5+5 = 550

Do not make it right by using in-equality sign.

Good Luck.

I'll post the answer on Sunday, if no one has figured it out by then. Don't spend more than 5 min on it.

I think Mr. Bond made an honest error in stating that Sadhana made 19 movies in 1960, actually her first movie Love in Simla was released in 1960 so she had only one release not 19 in 1960. Hey no one is perfect not even James Bond.

James Bond is not responsible for this goof up. It's Indofilms that goofed up. James Bond just stole the misleading secret. He does have License to steal. :D

Actually, I wish it was true that Sadhna was in 19 films, or even more, in 1960. I was looking forward to knowing which other films was she in in 1960.

Looks like Sadhna was a favourite heroine for quite a few zulmis here. I'm sure all would have wanted to see a list of 19 Sahna films from 1960.

(It's the same as Anil got us all charged up when he listed MANCHALI as DEI DVD :D )

P.S.
BTW, another thread beside this one has title Guru Dutt. Does any one know, which film was announced with Guru Dutt - Sadhna pairing?? I faintly remember one film being announced, but of course did not materialize, perhaps due to Guru Dutt's untimely death.

Found this on imdb:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405244/

Picnic (1964)

Credited cast:
Guru Dutt
Sadhana
(more)

Country: India
Language: Hindi
Color: Black and White

I think this is incorrect. I know of one super flop film PICNIC that starred Manoj Kumar and Shobha Khote (heroine, believe it or not; I saw it too in a portable theatre), released about that time. Kalpana was in it too.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0234462/
Picnic (1966)
Credited cast:
Anand Bakshi
David
P. Kailash
Kalpana
Shubha Khote
Manoj Kumar
Murad

Any verification??

Thanks.

Sanjay - Sadhna were together in Intequam, but it was RK Nayyar film.

Perhaps you mean Dus Laakh (Sanjay was the hero) where Sadhna might have been replaced with her cousin Babita because of Sadhna's health problems.

This is correct - the shelved film with Guru Dutt and Sadhana was called 'Picnic'. One song from the film ('Kitna rangeen hai ...') was released in a movie called 'Film Hi Film' (does anyone remember this movie?)

The song, sung by Rafi and Asha was on the soundtrack album for 'Film Hi film' and I also have a still from the movie in a book and it states that the movie was called 'Picnic' and directed by R.S. Tara.
