Aishwarya wants to do 'Bajirao Mastani'!

Not so long ago, Aishwarya Rai declared that she was not doing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious film 'Bajirao Mastani'.

Reason? The green-eyed beauty did not want to work with her ex-boyfriend Salman Khan.

Consequences? Financers backed out of the film leaving Bhansali absolutely dejected and disillusioned. Naturally, Sanjay went daggers drawn with her.

Meanwhile, Sanjay decided to make a quickie titled 'Black'- a thriller to be precise for which he approached Amitabh Bachchan. 'Black' produced by Applause Entertainment, also stars Rani Mukherjee, Nandana Sen, Vijay Krishna and Shernaz Patel. On date, Bhansali is in Shimla; he has begun shooting with some of the stars. 'Black' will have music by Mychael Danna. However, Sanjay clarified that he will finish 'Black' by April 2004 and soon after that, start working on 'Bajirao Mastani'.

He signed Rani Mukherjee for both the projects. Rani will play Kaashi, Bajirao's wife in 'Bajirao Mastani'. Rani will also play a key role in 'Black'. In 'Bajirao Mastani', Kareena Kapoor will play Mastani and Salman Khan will play Bajirao.

Actually, Kareena and not Rani was Bhansali's first choice for 'Black'. If the grapevine is to be believed, the mighty Bachchan refused to work with Kareena after the split between his son Abhishek and Karisma (Kareena's elder sister).

Now... Aishwarya is sending strong feelers to Sanjay that she wants to be a part of 'Bajirao Mastani'!

Sanjay has not responded as yet. But if he were to do so in positive, whom would he drop? Kareena or Rani? Besides, can he afford any more negative publicity on this expensive project?

And... Bhansali has one more problem, it seems. Buzz is, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) has refused permission to shoot in a 120-year-old building since the lights used during shooting could affect the vice regal lodge heritage structure.

Just a thought... Why does Aishwarya want to work with Salman now? Why this sudden change of heart? Does Vivek Oberoi who is supposed to be her present soulmate know about this?

It doesn't get more problematic than this, does it? Poor Sanjay!

and why would she want to do it for free. ACTING is her JOB, she's not just doing it for fun. its not like aamir and the rest of the cast are just prancingly taking this JOB for free. if they did that for every movie, they'd be on the streets in no time. its not like the rising has a TINY budget...and plus, it IS being made in two languages, why the hell can't she ask for the RIGHT amount of money.

Yeah, with Britney Spears in the running, I doubt Aishwarya Rai has a chance of getting the lead unless they are specifically looking for an Indian (as some articles stated -- however true those might be) or if Aishwarya Rai decides to sorta loosen up her morals and clothes like Britney. But hell, it's not like there's only one girl in a Bond film anyways. I mean, he's not exactly monogamous within one half of a film, so there might be room for both of 'em and more, lol. I just wonder how Aishwarya Rai feels about orgies...?

She is a complete loser who has no self-respect if she still wants to be in a film with fellow loser Salman Khan!

SLB is not all that as a director, his only good film was Khamoshi.

I didn't like any of his movie at all - Khamoshi - Sucked - Hum Dil De Chucke Sanam / Devdas - Good spending of Money for Sets and all that - but it wasn't anything new story of hum dil de chuke sanam - nah it ain't that good.

Copied / Copied - I don't know what will bollywood Do when there is no films left to copy from older ones and even from hollywood.
