Another musical in Rahman's lap

LONDON: Composer A R Rahman and a Finnish folk troupe have been commissioned to write songs for a musical stage version of The Lord of the Rings , the show's producer announced on Wednesday.

The Lord of the Rings musical is scheduled to open in London in the spring of 2005. Wallace said that the production was budgeted at 8 million pounds, which would make it the most expensive musical in West End history.

Nice to know Rahman getting some recognition.
I can see Yuvan S Raja there in a few years time too!!
