Plot: Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan) and his wife Pooja (Hema Malini) have four sons.

Raj invests all his money on their education. In return, he hopes that his sons will take care of him and his wife in the same way. He's in for a shock when he retires. None of the children is willing to take care of their ageing parents.

Things come to such a pass that the elderly couple is forced to seek help from strangers.

Ravi Chopra's Baghban explores this chapter in their lives.

Hema Malini is very beautiful indeed. Sometimes it seems older actresses, like Hema Malini and Rekha, look more beautiful now than they did in their youth. I wonder if Zeenat Aman would meet such expectations in Boom. Its hard to image her beyond the Bheegha Badan Jalne Laga type of erotic dances.

Maybe Amitabh Bachchan should make a film with Rekha too, after their controversial Silsila (1981)?

She also lavished praises on cinematographer Barun Mukerjee , " I´d like to thank Barunda , generally , I hardly like the way I look on the screen , but Barunda has made me look great in Baghban ".

zeenie baby looks hot in BOOM from the clips that i have seen much better looking than the 3 models that feature in the film :bash: :bash: :bash:

Esha Deol's was the face to look out for at the recent music launch party of 'Baghban'. After an initial exchange of pleasantries with air-kissing socialites, she seemed to have no soul to talk to. She preferred to sit beside Jaya Bachchan throughout the party while her mother became the center of all attention. Well, it's really tough being a star daughter. More so, if your mother still has the airs. As Amitabh Bachchan said, "Meet Hema Malini - Esha Deol's younger sister!" Well, the damage has already been done.

***IMHO, ESHA/ABHISHEK are VICTIMS of their Parents, GRANDEUR PERSONA, and TRYING to copy them, and meet those standards has been one of the reason for their repeated failure!!

IMHO, Hema should have tried to grab sp appearance with Sallu, for her daughter, instead of mahima!!
