After proving everything that there is to prove as an actor , Amitabh wants to prove a few more points but this time as a singer .

After the success of his recent song with Adnan Sami , we have now heard that music director Adesh Srivastava will soon record a song which will feature megastar Amitabh Bachchan and legendary Pakistani singer Abida Parveen .

Due to some problems the song , which was planned some months back , had to be scrapped but now it has got the go ahead signal . The movie will once again be B.R.Chopra´s Baghbaan for which , Amitabh has already recorded two songs.

Arsh Miyan.. I am listening to the album... Very melodious songs indeed... Cant imagine, Amitabh singing a solo song after a long time in a film !

But.. the big question here... I didnt find Abida Parveen's name anywhere in the credits. Any idea kya hua ? :cool:

Just some speculation on what kinda film this may be...that too only after listening to the songs.

Is it some kind of Parents-raise-kids-they-ditch-parents-then-they-realize mistake-all's well that ends well story ? Well I hope I am wrong .. cos wouldnt wanna see Amitabh and Hema in such a role, after such a long time !

Yes... the story is as I had suspected... Infact Bludhound says it resembles the Rajesh Khanna - starrer AVTAAR (or was it AMRIT ?).. (Duniya mein kitna gham hai, mera gham kitna kam hai)
Unless there is something dramatic in the story and superlative performance by the actors/actresses, this movie will be a Flop ! :(

Story is like RAJESH/SAMITA's AMRIT(Avtaar casts Kakka with Shabana Azmi)..I think( Husband ,wife seperated by kids in old age!)

Music is nice/melodious, but TOO MUCH, AB!!?

One thing to say, AB 's vocals are STILL GOING STRONG at this age!!His Singing at this point, is TOO GOOD to be true, imho.I am GLAD, Hema did not dare to sing again...
He gave VETERAN, SUKHWINDER SINGH, in HOLI SONG, RUN FOR HIS MONEY, IMHO..

OVERALL..Holi is RECYCLED..Rung barse, from Silsila, and First song, is Sona sona, shava, shava, Last Romantic Song(to be picturized on Sallu/Mahima) sounds like Chalte Chalte..

It is an AB album, from start to Finish..

Film, will be FEATURING, BUDHA B as HERO, for the most feature, along with SADABAHAR, DREAM GIRL..SP SUPPORT by SALLU/MAHIMA!!

****I am commited to watch it in THEATER, just sake of HEMA/Budha B pair!! as I always liked that pair in their hay days!!I think, Hema looks better with Budha B than Budhi B!!

Re Abida Parveen..I have not seen credits yet? May be News was not right?/ but have to check!! ???

Just a question abt a song in this album...
The background percussions are cool in this song...
BUt what I want to know.. is this song a Qawwali ?.. cos the beats sounds very similar to a Qawwali beat !

Na, mere soniya, it is a mixture of sona sna and shava shava..blended and mixed together! :baaa:
