Aparna Sen Elaborates About Gulel´s Cast

Aparna Sen , the winner of the national awards for best direction and best script this year for Mr And Mrs. Iyer , was felicitated last month at the closing ceremony of the second Asian Film Festival in Bombay .
Addressing a press conference later , Aparna Sen announced that her next film would be in Hindi , titled Gulel and will be based on the life of a convict , the film would star Ajay Devgan , Saif Ali Khan , Bipasha Basu , Kareena Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar .
She revealed that she had already chosen Bipasha to play the female lead in Gulel when Kareena and Urmila offered to work with the writer-director , no matter how brief their roles were.
She explained " The length of a role in the film is not important , but the content is and that has made Kareena and Urmila join the cast of my film".
