I'm going to India in about a months time, and want to pick up some good Bengali movies - I'm losing hope with the ones I've seen recently including Manush Keno Beimaan, Mejobou, Praner Cheye Priyo.....the list is endless. Anyway, can I have some recommendations please????? SKNath, Shuman, anyone?!?!

Bhaskar, where exactly in India are u going ?.. Calcutta.. will you be staying there all the while ?..
Unfortunately there are no Bangla DVDs that you can buy... all of them are shit quailty anyways... alebit you can buy some VCDs... if you so want
Try your luck with the Satyajit Ray collection ( esp..
Shonar Kella &
Joy Baba Felunath.... Utpal Dutt as Maganlal Meghraj... would be a treat to watch, even on VCD quality ).
Other than that, ..lay ur hands on any movie by the MAHA-NAYAK+Suchitra Sen combo !..
YOu may wish to try ur luck @ Symphony on Esplanade Road & Music World .. for these VCD's/ Cds
