No hungama at the BO
August began on a flat note with all the four Friday releases -- Hungama, Chori Chori, 3 Deewarein and Oops! -- performing badly at the box office.
While Hungama, which opened to a disappointing 70 per cent collection, might recover its money, the other three haven't taken off.

Note: Films are ranked on the basis of their performance at the box office every week. Though a film may be declared a flop, it may have performed better than the other films that week.

Cast: Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal
Director: Priyadarsan
Paresh Rawal's gags.

Confusing sub-plots.

This is not fair calling 3 Deewarein a flop without actually playing the movie in US theaters.

Agreed, Arsh! It was odd to see the theater owners playing Mr. and Mrs. Iyer after the dvd was released.

HUNGAMA is rock steady at BO.

BOX OFFICE LATEST-updated 6th August 16.00 IST

Hungama is rock steady in Mumbai city.It saw weekend collections of 70-75% and Monday/Tuesday saw the same 70-75%.it is also doing well in Pune and Ahmedabad. The film looks like being a winner in the Mumbai territory.Elsewhere after a 50% weekend collections have fell further. The other 3 releases of the week have all dropped further.Koi Mil Gaya is whipping up a storm in advance booking plans but the media is again going over the top by creating over the top expectations from the film and this could harm the film when it releases.
