I seriously doubt that CC will win any major awards, so your TV is safe. Sadly though, I would probably have to include in the list of 5 nominations for Filmfare given the dearth of good films. There really isn't anything after Bhoot, Haasil, and Satta. What a terrible year and I don't have much hope from the rest of it.

It will definitely be nominated in a bunch of categories, but I think the film that will walk away with the major prizes (Picture, Director) along with a whole slew of technical awards is J.P. Dutta's LoC (Line of Control).

However, I don't think LoC will win any acting awards (too many to be recognized). Shahrukh is getting rave reviews for CC (God knows why), so he'll probably get a nom. Urmilla should be a lock thus far for Bhoot.

Other big contenders are Taj Mahal, Khakee and Koi... Mil Gaya.

By the way, I will break MY TV in protest if Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon wins ANYTHING. Garbage. Utter crap.

Do not destroy your hard-earned possessions out of frustration at annoyingly trashy Hindi films, arsh my friend.

Instead, cross your fingers and hope for their utter failure so producers and directors get the point. Personally, I rather hope that MPKDH bankrupts the Rajshri Studio for good.

You know tho Chalte Chalte is nowhere even halfway near award quality, but don't be surprised to see Karan Johar's KAL HO NA HO going far at the Filmfare Awards.

Johars + SRK + Family drama = Filmfare Rage

They might throw in a supporting actor award for Saif, and thats about it!

kal ho na ho (IF it releases this year) and LOC look like sure bets to win this year - KMG, IF it is any good will also get nominated...

but you're right - CC will win a couple of awards at the least...rani will almost 100% be nominated for best actress - personally, i haven't seen bhoot, so i can't say anything about urmilla....also ravs in satta was quite ok and she'll get a nod too...

*and that's about it.* it's been a pretty bad year quality wise for indian movies....

raveena will probably win critics choice for best actress and urmila for best actress......... best debut will be shahid kapoor or the alien from kmg... i and if hrithik or kareena even get nominated... well i have to think of something worse than breaking the tv or the house....... i'll burn down manikchand's factory so that they cannot sponsor the awards anymore......
