i was browsing at Chapters (a bookstore) here in toronto and was startled to hear a familiar ar rahman song. first i thought rahman had copied some english tune, but then i realized that the song was "The Journey Home" from Bombay Dreams, except with a techno beat and a female singer. has anyone else heard it, or does anyone know who sings it?

did my own research since no one seemed to know/care.
I quote:

"The Journey Home" comes from Indian film composer A.R. Rahman's hit West End Bollywood musical Bombay Dreams, produced in London by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was Lloyd Webber who brought the song to Brightman's attention. "I've been in love with Indian films, and I've known Rahman's music for a long time. When I heard the song I really, really liked it. It has a different interpretation here than in the musical, but it has the right feel."

the song is sung by Sarah Brightman, and has a bit of "nahin samne" or "closer than ever" music at the beginning.
