Different Strokes
From being a civil engineer to being an owner of a video library to making it as one of the most talented makers in the Indian film industry, the journey of Ram Gopal Varma is nothing short of a fairy tale. Starting his career with Shiva which changed the history in Telugu cinema to the about to tbe released Bhoot, Ram Gopal Varma has made 26 films, each different from one another. Some have been super hits; some have been path breaking while others have already registered their name in the history of filmmaking.
Forthcoming projects
After Bhoot, Darna Mana Hai will hit the turnstiles, which is directed by Prawaal Raman. It has six different stories with a singly ending. The film has a huge star cast in Aftab, Sohail Khan and Sanjay Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Antara Mali, Shilpa Shetty, Raghuveer Yadav, Vivek Oberoi, Nana Patekar and Sameera Reddy. After Darna Mana Hai will come Mein Madhuri Dixit Banana Chahti Hoon starring Antara Mali and Rajpal Yadav and directed by Chandan Arora. Ram Gopal Varma has also joined hands with 20th Century Fox to make Ek Hasina Thi, directed by Shriram Raghvan with Saif Ali Khan, Urmila. The film is on the verge of completion where Urmila play an ordinary girl in an extraordinary situation. After that Ab Tak Chappan is based on the story of an encounter specialist cop starring Nana Patekar, Ravathi, Hrishitaa Bhatt and Yashpal Sharma. Shimit Amin directs the film. Nimmi is the next production venture to be directed by Taufeeq Ahmed. The film is about a child trapped in a forest. Then Chala Vinod Tiwari Film Banane, directed by Rajnish Thakur. The film has Jugal Hansraj in a pivotal role. After that Ram Gopal Varma has joined hands with Ajay Devgan to make Murder At Shri Krishna Building, which is to be directed by Jijy Philip. And last but not the least, he is currently in the process of directing Ek which has a huge cast in Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and others.
