MAHESH BHATT'S INDO-PAK AMBITIONS!
The filmmaker wants to shoot next movie in Pakistan!

Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has revealed plans to shoot his next movie in Pakistan. The film is set in 1947 and will be yet another Hindu-Muslim love story, which has been covered several times in Indian cinema, most famously in Mani Rathnam's classic blockbuster Bombay. Mahesh Bhatt hopes to achieve the same level of success and also wants to build on recent attempts of peace between the two countries. His film will feature a cast of both Indian and Pakistan actors. The idea has been put forward to the governments of both countries and their feedback is awaited. The project is being backed by the UK production company Asian Pictures International.

Crap! BS! I don't like the idea. It's been done before!

There was many hindu-muslim love stories though not all are India-pakistan.
Let's see;

Henna
Gadar
Mr & Mrs Iyer
Dahek
Bombay
Zakhm

And I know of one pakistani film about a muslim-Sikh relationship - Larki Punjaban.

Can't Bollywood try something else? They can still do Hindu-muslims, india-pakistan problems but how about a film that tries to pinpoint the cause of this hate? How about a film that takes no sides and really asks some bold questions and asks where is God in all of this? The thing is you'll never see a film like that because 'the masses don't like it'.
Forget doing lovey-dovey crap all the time!

Another thing Mahesh Bhatt believes this will somehow build on peace between Indian and Pakistan. But when has that ever happened? If anything films like this will be very controversial and not well-received.
