Bah! They're incapable of authorizing and mastering older films properly on DVD, let alone restoration and cinema reruns. :nopity:

I wouldn't count that as a proper restoration work, as the film still did suffer from print problems. And the colorization was a rather flawed job. They apparently used a damaged negative, which was a dupe of the original negative print. They deliberately removed a few scenes and songs, which was unforgivable.
The DVD was nowhere close to a decent one. The picture was too soft, and one whole song had terrible audio.

It has also been said that the theatrical release looked much worse than the DVD. The picture was blurry, squashed and even cropped at some screenings.

I would never consider this kind of a project a decent restoration work.

I only intended to give my opinions about the restoration quality, and the DVD quality too. Please check the existing thread with screenshots to clear your doubts. :))
