Main Tera Hero Has Decent First Week
11 April 2014

Main Tera Hero collected 33.50 crore nett in its first week as the weekdays did well and were aided by a holiday on Tuesday. The film added over 65% to its weekend business on the weekdays which is good trending.

It is the fourth highest first week of the year behind Jai Ho, Gunday and Ragini MMS 2. It beat the likes of Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Hasee Toh Phasee and Yaariyan.

The best business came in Rajasthan, CP Berar, Nizam Andhra which all had a first week of 2.25 crore plus and Gujarat which was best of all went over 4 crore nett. The film has a lot of work to do if it is to compare with the makers last film Chasme Bhadoor released this time last year which finished on 42 crore nett but was made at 50% the cost of Main Tera Hero.

This harks back to a typical David Dhawan film from the 90s - mildly entertaining when you are watching it, but immediately forgettable!
