Synopsis: The film set in Mumbai, revolves around a mistaken delivery in dabbawala (lunchbox service) of Mumbai, which leads to a relationship between an about to retire, Sudeep, also a lonely widower and an unhappy housewife, Ila as they start exchanging notes through the daily lunchbox.
Dabba (English title: The Lunchbox) is an Indian Hindi film written and directed by Ritesh Batra. The directorial debut film was screened at International Critics' Week at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, and later won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award also known as Grand Rail d'Or. It is scheduled to be shown at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. The film is set to be released in India, U.S., and U.K. on September 20, 2013.
