Ups
Here again we come past another Mahesh Bhatt film released during the 90's. Mahesh Bhatt gets two under-rated actors that have made there name but not recoigned as actors, Mohsin Khan was cricketer for the Pakistan cricket team and married to the famous actress Reena Roy, which actually got him into Bollywood. Aditya Pancholi was always seen as a Villian not a main role, this film proves how these two pull it off so well. The film is extremely likeable, the film in the second half gets into Drugs, Crime etc, but if you dont like that stuff there is an element of freindship in the film, which makes you love the film. The film is wonderful.

Downs
The first 20 mins do not entertain at all, but all it focuses on is two road side goons who try to pick pockets to make a living from, the film picks up after they get the job with Avtar Gill. The film has minor problems in the film like the locations are not correct and the film hasnt had time to spread out, meaning it could of been matter especially the scenes just before the party. Also there are a few scenes that are taken from Brain De Palma's Scarface.

Scenes

- The First Drug Deal
- The Celebration On Paresh Rawal's New Men
- Varsha's Intro
- The First Sniff
- Mohsin's Refusal To Kill Varsha's Brother
- Aditya Makes It To The Top
- Mohsin And Aditya Now Enimies
- The Real Anupam Kher

Performance
People that think Aditya Pancholi is a terrible actor, need to change there mind after watching this. Aditya Pancholi in this film is absouletly wonderful, This has to be his best performance till date, he is outstanding. Mohsin Khan is competly natural, his last performance in Batwara did not impress, but this will especially in the party scene with Pancholi. Varsha Usgoankar is okay, she gets two good songs and some good scenes with Mohsin Khan.

Paresh Rawal repeats the same act he has done in Naam, but in this one he does okay. Avtar Gill leaves a mark in this Mahesh Bhatt film once again. Anupam Kher is first-rate, he does brillant in the climax. Soni Razdan as Tina is wasted.

Music
The songs are one of the best factors for this film, Nadeem-Shravan leave an huge impact. 'Yaarana Yaar Ka' 'Aaj Hum Tum O Sanam' 'Aisa Bhi Dekho Waqt' 'Hui Aankh Num' and 'Zindagi Ke Talaash' are simply out of this world. They rock in a film that doesnt really need songs.

Direction
Mahesh Bhatt impresses once again on a subject he has hardly tackled, Drugs. The film doesnt seem to give that messages across in the begginng, in fact you dont feel that the film will have anything to do with Drugs, but in comes into the film later. I think Mahesh has done a wondeful job on the film, but even better in the fact he had faith in Aditya Pancholi to do such a huge role and none one would of thought he would had pulled it off, This why Mahesh Bhatt succeeds.
