I've heard it claimed before that Shah Rukh Khan tries to "mimic" Dilip Kumar, and I have to say that I just don't see it (and never have). The two actors are distinct in their performances, and neither, to me, ever feels reminiscent of the other.

To me, Shah Rukh's acting style has always resembled Shammi Kapoor far more than either Dilip Kumar or The Big B.

Have you seen Janga Jamuna -Kohinoor-Aan-madhumati and there are so many others..

He doesn't really do the "stammering bit" so much any more as he used to during the 1990s, but, even then, I never thought he resonated Dilip Kumar's style. I have seen Gunga Jumna, Aan, and Madhumati; I don't recall having watched Kohinoor. Having seen the three films, however (Gunga Jumna being not only one of my favorite "Dilip-Kumar films," but one of my favorite films, altogether), I still don't see a connection between the "style" of Shah Rukh Khan and that of Dilip Kumar.

Breaking news from Indiafm

Shah Rukh Khan to play double role in Don
By IndiaFM News Bureau, July 17, 2006 - 09:00 IST

Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Don – The Chase Begins Again is one of the most interesting films to look forward to. Starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, the film is a modern remake of the 70’s hit Don that starred Amitabh Bachchan. The original film had Amitabh in a double role and Shah Rukh is set to repeat the magic. Prior to this, SRK was seen playing double roles in Paheli and Duplicate.

According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan will play the roles of Don and Vijay in the film. Don is the original gangster and Vijay is his look alike who replaces Don in the second half.

That shouldn't even be news. Shah Rukh Khan not having a double-role in a Don-re-make: that would be remarkable.

lol that poster looks gay, srk looks like a 'west side story' reject. he really needs to lose the leather jacket/tight pants… that look is just not working for him

that is a very cool score, and if I am not mistaken, it seems like it is a sped-up version of the 'main hoon don' beat. I am really starting to look forward to this film!

Did anyone listen to the theme music released on the web.. with SRK mouthing
"Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin Namumkin hain".... Man it sounded so pathetic....

The Kalyanji-Anandji Theme music is now quite legendary... I wonder how anyone can even listen to this techno crap ! :x
