It's plot hole city and really a half baked script. A list Hrithik in a B-C grade film (overall, technically A minus). It was fun nonetheless. The Russian roulette scene was the best followed by the the opening scene concerning this old 'woman'. Ha, very funny.

only films of this calibre these days make to SUPER HIT status lol.

No exception, orig Dhoom, BNB, Don etc etc etc

Any idea when they screen films in I-Max theatre if they are blown up 70mm or blown up I-Max prints ?? Or, do they use just regular 35mm print projected on to -Max size screen ??

Films like Harry Potter, Star Wars etc are often screened in I-Max theatres, but are they really on an upgrade film too ??

Yes!! The others like polar express, Harry , Starwars were orig made prints for IMAX! Blown up film looks dark, lousy!

May be in India! Where they cant provide 5.1 sound on all prints they are making IMAX version prints

It was at the IMAX complex but not on IMAX screen. They have more screens there which are standard 35mm screens. Large but not IMAX.

Saw the movie yesterday and must say I do not understand all the hullabulla about the film. It is a mediocre film at best and downright boring at times, specially with the numerous crappy songs. Hrithik Roshan is very good and walks all over Abhishek Bachalan, Aishwarya is too skinny for my liking and looks like she is posing for a photo shoot throughout the film. As for Bipasha, I have yet to figure out what she was doing in the film and why she was in it to begin with. Overall, a poorly scripted film with very inconsistent characterisations and downright crappy music. Technically the film is pretty good. Some of the stunts are well executed while some look forced and unneccessary. The sound production was quite poor in some of the stunts due to which the scenes lacked impact. Personally I enjoyed Don much more than Dhoom 2. Also, after watching Dhoom 2 I am now completely convinced that Hrithik would have been the right choice for Don and he would have really lifted that film to another level.

I did not care for HIGH TECH, both ORIG DOOM or DAMN DON! as it does not inspire me! I found PIRATES OF CARIBEAN 2 Lame too, imho!

I called nonsense action as HIGH OCTANE MOTION FILLED FLICK and would not use word ACTION! True ACTION is that moves story forward not stop it to enjoy mindless hyper motion hoopla!

No doubt some action sequence were done, improved to high level, by Bollywood standards!

But however a film could be polished, finessed, yet low on substance and uninspiring, I am not for it!!

Btw!! Single, skinny Aish, to me she looked caricature of herself and double Bips are for OOMPH lol  to give audience triple dips, with aish and bipsx2. Aish needs to shed 10 years too  to stay in buisness in this class!

I just wrote a very long fucking review of Dhoom 2, and when I "posted," I got a "Page Cannot Be Displayed," and my review vanished. I'm pissed off and I'm not writing it again.

So, "overall rating": "6.8."

The first week collections have left the trade spellbound with the film breaking all records. The film is mind boggling in the North. Delhi/UP/East Punjab has had a very limited multiplex release and the film has not only had record shares in first week but gone into second week with 90% collections. The rest of the country stood at 75% on 8th day. The film will be the biggest net grosser in history and may even challenge the record 45 crore share of Gadar. First week nett business is between 32-35 crore.

Previous record for "First week nett business is between 32-35 crore" was Rs 28 cr for KANK.

I watched DHOOM 2 with very low expectations. I wasn't too disappointed as it was pretty entertaining. Hirthik was really good. Brazil bike chase scene in the tunnel was well done. Did they do the Digital Intermediate for the whole film or just the songs. The colors just popped off screen during songs. Aishwarya was bleh and was annoying like Pooh in K3G. The Russian roulette scene evoked lots of laughs(unintentional).

I watched Dhoom 2 at the REGAL E-WALK 13 on 42nd street because I knew their screens are huge unlike IMAGINASIAN. I think the sound was digital but there was no surround activity. Very weird for an action movie!!
