I don't think it could be steroids. Simply becaue this guy seems to have a pretty lean body whereas with the use of steroids one generally ends up with huge bulging muscles.

Ahh.., you guys are just jealous cause Mohit is a natural born hunk. :P
The bod is hot!

You need to read my post more carefully. I am in fact defending the guy. :)

Ja! Ja! James!! (Jaggoo, you know what I'm raving about, right? ;))

James tonight!! :D

1) You don't know what we look like :P
2) Jag would be the last person to be jealous of someone's figure
3) Natural born, I'm sure you know he is not! He worked hard to get that body! Props to him.

Us guys just don't like to see queers like Salman Khan with good bodies acting/dressing all gai. It's not because we are "jealous" - I'm sure we've achieved other things he can only dream about with our time. It's more like cause he's a fruit basket of a jerk.

He He. I could be jealous of someone's bod, but I wouldnt let that figure into what I think of him as an actor.

By the way did you watch the movie? How was it?

chrish, I take my comments back (even though they weren't directed at you personally). Props man! I only gained just over 5lbs in a year  But I went irregularly. I'd miss months at a time or weeks at a time, and every time I went back it felt like I was going there for the first time. lol

Rita, it will take a couple of years before I can start showing off

jag, I'm afraid if I tell you that I like it, you will tell me that you hate it!! :x
anyway, I watched it last night with my mom. she was like "nooo, it looks too violent, I can't take violent films right now". after the movie I asked her what she thought of the movie, well, she likes it :) It's a fantastic movie! pakka action film! appreciate it for what it is, and for what it was intended to be. nobody makes action films like these any longer, not even hollywood. well worth a theater trip!! If you ask me to compare it to Shiva, it is NO Shiva. Shiva is in a class of its own. It doesn't have the same impact. I don't even know why the reviewer made comparison to Shiva. Great background music/songs. The trailers of Chatrapati give me the impression that it will be a film similar to the likes James.

There wasn't much scope for acting on Mohit's part. Some may think he can't act well, only due to his gigantic body. It would be weird to see him do SRK type roles (kuh kuh kuh..kiran). Anyway, I thought he did really well.

Nisha can act as well, but she can't deliver dialogues properly. Felt like her voice might have been dubbed by someone else? or maybe it should have been? lol

anyway, this fim has Varma written all over it. Rohit (director) has done a good job, despite negative reviews. Certainly better than your Gowariker's your Johar's your Dhawan's etc etc.. :)

catch it at the theater!! it's a theater spectacle!! :!: :!: the ending is katharnaak

I loved Gowriker's films especially swades, think Johar's films are good timepass and havent liked a dhawan film except one or two. Will check James out with minimal expectations after it comes out on DVD

Rita, you forget the part though my mom was hesitant at first, she ended up leaving the theater liking the film! Your loss! This will sound a bit gai, but the promo pics don't do justice to the film & Mohit. He makes everyone(other bolly 'hero's) look like ZERO's as our lovable Riya Sen so suggests :D

5 Lbs, laugh all you wants :P I have a regular schedule now, and I feel fantastic :P I was also going about it the wrong way at the gym. the personal trainers are a bunch of dummies. they don't care about your figure, they care about their figure$$$. I've been reading up online, and the tips sure are paying off :) I'm going to make the local desi girls fall to the ground  not that they don't already fall

chrish, we don't have Hardy's on this end. We got CJ's, but I don't do burgers. Yuck! I probably wouldn't able to swallow it even if I tried. I'm on a strict rice and beer diet!! :D

I took some 'before' shots. still waiting for 'after' shots for comparison

I'll always be bitter at his flawed film Lagaan joining the Oscars when a perfectly good movie Kannathil Muthamittaal was completely ignored. Such a crappy film. I never bothered to watch Swades in whole. It too is probably flawed. Once a dummy, always a dummy. :x

Your anger is misplaced. KM lost out to Devdas the year after that. It wasnt in competition with Lagaan.

If there is one director in bollywood that I'm really interested in watching movies of, its Gowrikar.

agree dude, the direction was excellent, very stylish. and the cinematography was really good also, as was the score

and agreed, rohit defintely was better than the usual bunch - gowariker, johar, dhawan, rks…

and you are right, they don’t make action films like this anymore in bollywood - a must see on the big screen!

though I wasn’t impressed by mohit as much as you - I thought he made a great action star, but apart from that he does not seem to have much potential

I think randeep was ramu’s real ‘big discovery’ this year, I hope we see more of randeep rather than mohit

though they both have signed 2 films each w/ ramu

btw, did you hear abt this one - http://web.mid-day.com/hitlist/2005/july/114778.htm (it is going to be directed by amal neerad - cinematographer for james)

and agree the ‘chatrapati’ promo was good and looked similar to ‘james’, especially with the peter hynes fights/stunts. though prabhas doesn’t look very good in it… but it does have shriya :D

wasn't randeep's voice dubbed in "D"? i can't imagine him speaking fluent Hindi after seeing him in "Monsoon Wedding".
