I’m looking forward to seeing this film on Dvd- the plot really is interesting about a mute and deaf person who becomes a cricket star. Naseeruddin Shah is a terrific actor!
I am not sure if the movie is really 'Oscar' worthy but it is a pretty good, although I was not awed by it like some of the reviews. Naseeruddin as usual has given a very good performance.

The film is not based on a real life story. But, there is a person who claims that Nagesh has lifted the story idea from a script he had sent to Nagesh a couple of years ago. The guy claims that in his script 'hockey' was the game instead of 'cricket'.
