This Friday will see the release of choreographer Ahmad Khan´s directorial debut "Lakeer - Forbidden Lines" and Boney Kapoor´s Abhishek Bachchan starrer ´Run´. While we have already said that chances are that ´Run´ may well be Abhishek´s elusive success, even ´Lakeer- Forbidden Lines´ is expected to have a good opening as Sunny fans have been waiting for this one for a long time and this time a Sunny movie has Rahman´s popular music too.
Charas - A Joint Effort & Sheen
Though ´Charas- A Joint Effort´ had a better opening than ´Sheen´ unfortunately they can only be called ordinary and poor respectively.
Verdict - Both the movies will fail at the box-office.
Main Hoon Na
We had predicted a big opening for ´Main Hoon Na´ in our last column. We were slightly wrong as the opening was not big but monsterous, shattering many records. The existing first week highest record was for ´Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham´ which was around 12.50 crore. ´Main Hoon Na´ surpassed it by more than a crore and with far fewer prints.
It has also shattered many circuit records, which include Mumbai, Delhi-UP, Rajasthan and South. The film maintained an approximately 90% collections for the whole week at an all India level and the distributors share for the first week in Delhi -
UP was a whopping 2.50 cr and 70 lakhs in East Punjab and 25 lakhs in Bihar which are not so strong Shah Rukh territories.

Verdict - The movie is on way to a grand all India success and the way things have progressed in the second week it will be semi-hit by the end of week 2, hit by week 3 or 4 and so on to a probable superhit status by the 8th - 10th week, but for that we have to wait and watch. In the overseas too the movie has obtained good collections in US & UK.
