Has anyone noticed that almost all films copied from the south are the worst Hindi films ever? They manage to make bad products even worse.

Well there used to be good South to North remakes. The ones by Sridhar and B. Nagi Reddy were entertaining.

I seriously have no idea who they are at all. The only south remake worth talking about (IMO) is Saathiya which is by the original producer anyway. All the rest I remember are embarrassing, atrocious copies of embarrassing, atrocious originals. e.g. Judaai, Raja Babu, Mr Azaad, Gentleman, Sirf Tum, Nayak, Bulandi, Anari, Laadla among hundreds of other films which demonstrate the epitome of bad filmmaking. Maybe the south makes some good films. But they sure aren't getting remade into Hindi.

Oh there are MANY, MANY examples.....Sridhar and B.Nagi Reddy made movies in the 70s....

to give a sampling of South to North remakes that were pretty darn decent :

PYAR KIYE JAA (has an absolumento hilarious scene by Mehmood narrating a scene from his future movie-he's an aspiring film maker)
PADOSAN (was even directed by a southie)
EK DUJE KE LIYE (directed by K.Balachander)
HAATHI MERE SAATHI (Chinappa Devar)
SWARAG NARAG (funny)
FARZ (Jeetu bhai's big, big break, Raveekant Nagaich)
HIMMATWAALA (questionable quality but nevertheless a hit, but gave rise a spate of intolerable South productions !!)
SADMA (do not like it personally, but had decent music)
JULIE (dont quite like it personally, but great music)

But agreed off late there have been bad productions....but was not always the case....it is a case of bad generalisation.....

Sridhar (from Tamil):

Saathi (Paalum Pazhamum)
Nazrana (Kalyana Parisu)
Pyar Kiye Ja (not sure if he directed the Hindi version, but he directed the Tamil original, Kadhalikka Neramillai)
Dil Ek Mandir (Nenjil Ore Aalayam)

B. Nagi Reddy (from Telugu)

Ram Aur Shyam (Ramudu Bheemudu)
Swayamvar (Gundamma Katha?)
Julie (Julie)
Shriman Shrimati (?)

There may be more.

Which Southern films were the ones you listed copied from? The only ones I know of are The Gentleman (Gentleman), Nayak (Mudhalvan), and Sirf Tum (Kadhal Kottai). The Tamil versions of the first too are crap, so I'm sure the Hindi ones were as well.

Didn't know Padosan was copied from a Southern film. Do you know the name of the original?

I havent read this news from any of the mainstream or relaible sources. I am a little skeptical of the news. All it brings out is the malice that people have for Aishwarya

Maybe she was the problem all along..

Nope, I'd say Salman was a problem since the day he was born. I never really liked Ash and thought she was overrated but I disliked her even more for getting with a 1st grade idiot like Salman...I think she did well by splitting with him. But I think she suffers from that syndrome where some women can't do without men who physically abuse them, so she deserves all the bad luck she gets, as for Salman...he should die and make the world a better place. :D

By the way when Katrina Kaif was asked on Sony TV about if she is seeing Salman, she looked insulted that someone could even think she would and "played it down" saying I've only met him on a few occassions. Even she was ashamed to associate with him. If she DID marry him, I wonder how much he paid her?
