But, looking at what he is saying, it's obvious it was recorded some 8-10 Yrs back and looks like it's during his political days.

BTW, press has been saying that he was depressed that his movies started flopping, and so on, but he gave many a hits even after his films started not doing so well. And then, sure he had a good run in his political career. In Parliamentary elections, he lost from none other than L K Advani, but only by a narrow margin. That is really a huge huge political achievement. Even though he did not win that election, he still became a MP from the very same constituancy, a few months later as L K Advani vacated that seat (Advani contested from more than one seat and did not keep this seat) and that time he ran against Shatrughan Sinha. He had another chance to contest a recent parliamentary election but he declined.

He was successful till his last days.

Actually, the clue to the age of this audio recording is in the recording itself. Mr. Khanna states that he was a given his first chance 40 yrs ago, which would mean that the recording was made in 2007, i.e. 40 yrs from 1967 when his first movie was released. It is also apparent that this is a recording made at some public gathering.
