according to this news bit on idlebrain, jothika is now in 'shock'... I hope this isn’t true

Three music directors for Shock

As per the unconfirmed news, three different and relatively new music directors would compose two tunes each for Shock that is being produced by Ram Gopal Varma. The same experiment was done for Ram Gopal Varma's latest film James as well. Haresh, who assisted Ram Gopal Varma for Sarkar film is directing Shock. Ravi Teja and Jyothika are paired up in this film.

When will they stop remaking this shitty movie :P

BTW, I thought all of RGV's films were dubbed in Telugu.

As far as I know, it is not a remake of Bhoot - What makes you think so?

The news is confirmed regarding the casting

"Shock" in Tamil was a remake of Bhoot, or so I've been told. I haven't seen either.

After Jungle, ramu stopped even dubbing into Telugu. I'm surprised to see James to be dubbed into Telugu. I guess he feels James suits Telugu tastes better?? He is always indirectly moaning about how Telugu audience are stuck in the past, why doesn't he dub or produce telugu films too see audiences tastes?? new generations?? ofcourse stupid films become super duper hits with so many Rajnikanth like "Super Stars", because they have nothing else that is offered to them. and I'm sure there is quite a bit of young talent thats just going to waste with old age. Nobody wants to take RISKS, not even Nagarjuna & Company (produced Shiva), everyone wants to make a quick Buck even though they have plenty of bucks already! They don't want to offer anything to the arts!! bah!! ok, enough of rant, bye. :ffs:

edit: BTW, Jothika is a poor choice. I'm sick and tired of her already. Ravi Teja is a top class actor, well worthy of workin for RGV!!

Look at his interview

http://www.idlebrain.com/news/functions ... james.html

All my Hindi films are being dubbed in Telugu because Telugu audiences are encouraging me.

Yeah usually the films that are perceived as suiting telugu tastes are dubbed including Marichettu

From all accounts this "Shock" does not have anything to do with "Bhoot". "Chock" in tamil was not done by the RGV camp from my knowledge

right, the prashant starrer ‘shock’ was the tamil remake of ‘bhoot’ and it was NOT a ramu camp film

now…

the new film ‘shock’ (which is a ramu camp film) has nothing to do w/ ‘bhoot’, though ramu has yet to say what the film is abt

though he has already said that ‘shock’ will be a bilingual w/ randeep hooda starring in the hindi and ravi starring in the telugu (just as he did with ‘madyahnapu hatya’/‘my wife’s murder’ starring chakri and anil respectively)

though ramu did say in an interview a while back that his next film in telugu will be abt the media, and he will be looking at the media in a negative light - now I am not sure if he was referring to ‘shock’ but it could very well be

and the title definitely suggests it - you know like ‘shock news’ or ‘shock tv’ - basically types or trends of sensationalized media

then again ramu could have been talking abt a completely different project

but either way, teja is an excellent casting choice by ramu

I beg to differ this as I think Jyothika would be great in this role. Her acting in the last scene in Chandramukhi is enough proof that she can carry herself very well in that role.

this is releasing jan 14!

Shock for Sankranthi

Ravi Teja's film Shock with RGV banner is going to release on 14th of January on the eve of Sankranthi festival. Jyothika is playing the female lead. She is having a meaty character in this film. Haresh is making his debut as director. The producer is keeping the publicity of the film in low profile at present.

this keeps on sounding better and better…

Ram Gopal Varma and Suresh Kondeti are jointly producing Shock with Ravi Teja as hero. SK Pictures that made debut with hit flick Premiste is producing this film as production no. 2. Jyothika is the heroine. Tabu plays an important role. Haresh makes his debut as director. Sarvesh Murari (AOR fame) handles photography.

AOR is very good except the climax. they maintained the suspense until the end, but at the end, like the way typical english movie ends, its either psyco or somethign similar.

ugh, I can't believe these sort of 'promo stills' for an RGV flick:
