I guess you all missed the point. That doesn't surprise me very much. I've gotten into discussions regarding this topic with highly educated people. But their perspective is mainly influenced by their environment & how they grew up, rather than what's logical. One went as far as "How do you know they have souls?" not that I brought up "souls" into the discussion. I asked him how he would know that
I have a soul, and he responded "because I'm human & I know I have a soul, and I know that you are human so you must have a soul too" not that "souls" are relevant to the topic. it just shows to prove how his religion and the way he was brought up influences his ignorance. His income is nearly 10x as much as mine, but he is 10x the tard that I will ever be.
The point I was trying to make is, there is no need to get flabbergasted over loss of human life when there are millions of animals being slaughtered for the very pleasure of these humans.
Would you show sympathy towards a criminal? There is always sentiment when some a-hole human gets murdered/raped/robbed but there is never any sympathy towards animal life. Life = Life. The people that got bombed are criminals, and they deserve every bit thats coming to them.
Most people didn't sympathize with Scott Peterson (assuming he killed his pregnant wife), in the same manner I don't sympathize with loss of human life.
I guess I'll be contradicting myself, but I do value life, just not that of ignorant scum. I'm not sad because people die prematurely. I'm sad because people are ignorant.
The current state of India is influenced by history that is well past the years of partition & european ventures into imperialism. It's easy to blame them because that is the PC thing to do. Like the PC thing in america is to blame the "white-man".
I watched Crash over the weekend. Wonderful film about ignorance and racism.
bah, you guys will never understand unless you want to understand. this understanding should come naturally. I'm going to go take a nap
