After reading about the disturbing scenes in Bhoot in another thread, it got me thinking.......whats the most disturbing Indian film you've seen?

I can't really think of any Hindi movies.....the way the villain treated the handicapped people in Villan (Tamil) was pretty sick. On the whole, Dahan (Bengali) directed by Rituporno Ghosh was very disturbing.....it stays with you long after the film has finished.......nothing Hindi is coming to mind at the moment....apart from Andaaz :p

A few disturbing films were Dushman, Bawandar, and Chandni Bar. I enjoyed the last two though.

Another disturbing and stupid film was Aamdanni Athanni Kharcha Rupaiya. I didn't know spousal abuse was funny!

The gratuitous and pretentiously fake crying was somewhat disturbing in K3G – more worryingly and deeply disturbing was that people equated that to acting :wotever:

The last scene when Kamal walks away with the dog in the tamil movie Anbe Sivam
The scene where ANR finds out that his son is dead in the telugu movie Seetaramaya gari manavaraloo.
When the villan kicks the womb of the pregnant Juhi in hindi movie partibandh.
The R scene in Damini.
Many scenes in chandini bar.
The climax scenes in the telugu classics Shankarabaranam and Sagarasangamam,
i can go on and on
:D

Chandni Bar does it for me. While I feel the film showcases a profound reference to a scrupulous & acrid civilization. BUT, it is the portrayal of vast nudity was just unpleasant & painful experience to watch. Another film with which I feel the same way with is A Clockwork Orange (It's brilliant, but really unpleasant to watch).

I think I have not seen any very disturbing Indian film
yet. I have only seen some minutes of Abhay and maybe
this one is quite disturbing.
:)
The most disturbing film I know is
Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom (1975)
Then there are films that are not 'serious' but quite
disturbing as well, like the atrocious
Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
or
Pink Flamingos (1972)
:(

kkhh had it's corny parts (esp. the first half), but to say it's disturbing is going too far.

what was so disturbing? the lack of AB with a gun in his hand?
