Here is the rediff report for this week. They have proclaimed IshqVishk a hit

http://www.rediff.com/movies/2003/may/13box.htm

======= Quote =============
Size does not matter. Biggies like Khushi, The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy, Ek Aur Ek Gyarah sank without a ripple at the box office. But a small film like Ishq Vishk, bubbling with the youthful exuberance of newcomers Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Shenaz Treasurywalla and debutant director Ken Ghosh, has done the trick.
The film has opened to a decent response and is expected to do well.

Yes, I saw that on Rediff.

But your B4U link says:
"BOX-OFFICE VERDICT: The film continues to do good business in most states of the country though"

for the 4th week of The Hero.

Good business and still flop??

I guess, Rediff is reporting for the money makers and B4U reporting for the Income Tax Dept. LOL.

Side tracking from the issue:

Dograk, Arsh commented in another thread, that got locked, that the DEVDAS screening in Ottawa Mayfair, that I saw, could have been from DVD??
I said, I can't be sure.

Did you see DEVDAS at Mayfair?? If yes what do you think??

i saw it once there. but i don't think it was from dvd - looked from a reg. source...however, tho it depends - since it ran TWICE at mayfair...so which time are you talking about?
also, arsh/rana, why exactly did you think it was from DVD? any particular reason?

rana, described, very dark, picture and muted colors? that was EXACTLY, what PIRATED DVD looked like :baaa:

If REGULAR FILM PRINTS are that CRAP, I cant say any thing? But my Theatric SHOW had VERY GOOD PICTURE, but BAD SOUND!! I personally think, it was DTS print with NO DISC, so defaulted to DOLBY SURROUND? :baaa: :hmm:

LATEST BOLLYWOOD BOX OFFICE NEWS!
Ishq Vishk Opens Fairly Well In India!

Although expectations were low for Bollywood's latest romantic comedy Ishq Vishk, the movie has benefited a hit soundtrack and some surprisingly good reviews from the critics. Its opening weekend has been decent in parts of India, especially in Mumbai where its been screening to some packed cinema halls. To increase its prospects further, the cast of the film is taking part in promotional visits of big cities to meet fans. This could also help business in other parts of the country where collections have been poor. Nonetheless Ishq Vishk's low budget should help it become a good moneymaker for TIPS Films. This will bring a smile on the face of director Ken Ghosh, despite the fact that business is expected to cool down due to strong competition from other big releases in the coming weeks.

In Toronto:
But, Ishq Vishq gone from Toronto Albion/ Woodside after one week. The Hero keeps playing in it's 5th week.
Albion? Woodside preferred Haasil over Ishq Vishq??
Armaan playing over 17 shows daily.

What trick did Ishq Vishq do??

It made the most money at the bo so far this year. Who
sees which profits? Who knows. It's not a flop popularity
wise.
