Anybody had a chance to catch this movie? I watched it yesterday. The movie was brilliant. It keeps taking shots at current political/world events. But the main character doesn't really follow any ideology.

The direction was excellent. Clive Owen gives a great performance. The camera work is outstanding. The sound editing and surround effects are the best since Saving Private Ryan. Overall a good way to start the 2007 movie watching. :)

This was released last Sept here lol. Out of all the films I've seen in 2006 - two of them stand out the most. The Presige and Children of Men.

Children of Men just went into wide release Friday in the US. It is currently at #3 at the US box office. The word of mouth is really good on this one.

Finally caught this last night. What an incredibly powerful film. There's just so many things the film touches on and so many emotions it stirs...and its all so subtle, feels so real. And pretty much everything about this film...directing, story, camera work, acting...is spot on. I haven't been a big fan of Clive Owen, but he does great work here and Cuaron, he's quickly becoming a must-see director for me. Easily one of the best films of the past year.

Thought it was good, but not as good as some of the director's other films. What I was impressed with is how they made "the future" look so real. It's like that stuff could happen.

I watched it the other day and liked it very much. I liked the way the action followed Clive Owen's character like a first person shooter type game  I usually don’t like Michael Caine but he actually made be laugh in this movie. Thanks for recommendations.
