Original 'Umrao Jaan' to hit theatres

Umrao Jaan
While J. P. Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan' starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai is up for grabs among distributors vying for its rights at extraordinary prices, the original Rekha starrer 'Umrao Jaan' is back in the limelight.

Plans are afoot to re-release the original classic with fanfare and publicity against the remake. Goes without saying that J. P. Dutta is not kicked about this.

This should give crawling bugs to Dutta!!

Only way, they should re release if remastered/restored print and remastered to true dolby surround etc, otherwise leave it mono/stereo, the way it was..time to bite dust, for jr, Aish, Dutta!!On their face :twisted: 8)

I saw a 35mm print 2 years ago. The film needs restoration.
