Spooky 'Bhoot' makes Bollywood smile Monday, 02 June , 2003, 16:28 Mumbai: Smiles are back in Mumbai's beleaguered film industry with Ramgopal Verma's 'Bhoot',
Though Akshay Kumar-Lara Dutta-Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Andaaz' which was released in last week, had a bumper opening, the collections fell drastically after four days, Mehra said. But the film is likely to recover its costs.

What's the BAD NEWS dograk??
I'm glad that BHOOT is doing well. Andaaz too recovered its cost in the first week itself.
Regarding ANDAAZ 'collections fell after 4 days'; 3 Day later report said, "93% collections in Bombay ckt". Moreover, it already recovered its cost. That's a good news too.
What counts the most is that I liked the film and will get a chance to see it again this weekend.

Searching for some other topic, came across this thread.
Paying public proved every film reviewer, as well as, all trade pundits wrong by making ANDAAZ the 6th ( actually only 5th as MBBS made its money mainly in 2004) biggest grosser and 4th biggest profit maker of 2003.

It's total net gross (22.5 cr) was behind KMG (42.2 cr), KHNH (33.2+ cr), The Hero (26 cr), MBBS (23.5+ cr), Baaghbaan (23.2 cr).
(Bhoot @ 13 cr, MPKDH @ 18.7 cr)
It's profit share (88%) was behind KMG (109%), MBBS (106+ %), Baaghbaan (94%), but all four are classified in the same category as A1 Hits (75-125% profit).
(KHNH @ 52%, Bhoot @ 23%, MPKDH @ 6%)
