Lakshya is opening with more (at least 60 more) film prints than the present 1st week 'all India collections' record holder MHN.

With all first week almost booked in advance, will it beat MHN collections in the first week in India??

Rana

BOX OFFICE LATEST-16th June 13.00 IST

Lakshya receives the best advance booking of the year. The single screen plans which opened on Monday were excellent in the big cities. This morning the plans opened in many multiplexes in Mumbai and Delhi and 70% of the tickets for the weekend have gone in less than half a day.As expected the film is going to receive an excellent response in the metroes and A grade centers but the battle will be the B and C centers.

Still time to vote based on further Advance Booking reports:

http://www.boxofficeindia.com/

Lakshya looks set to break records as its advance plans are better than Hrithiks last hit Koi Mil Gaya and even this years record breaker Main Hoon Na.Vishal cinema in Delhi sold 1.65 lakhs worth of tickets on Monday while the figure for Main Hoon Na was 1 lakh. The Delite theatre was even better with a 2.25 lakh worth of tickets.Koi Mil Gaya had recorded 1.5 lakhs there. In Mumbai there only tickets available for a few morning shows for the weekend. Its the same for Ahmedabad,Pune,Hyderabad and Bangalore.

FROM OUR INSIDER AT NAAZ-Although the treatment of Lakshya is unlikely to meet with universal acceptance in the long run it does have a few mass appealing dialogues which should bring in the masses initially(eg Amitabh's "Apna ghar to sambhala nahi jaata, chalen hai duniya sambhal ne"will recieve thunderous applause all over as long as it is fitted well within the film). The film definately has more in it for the masses than Dil Chahta Hai.The classes have already shown their approval with the record breaking advance booking. It can safely be said that the film will in all likelihood cross the 12 crore nett mark in the first week and then it will be down to the merits and acceptance of the film.
------------------------
BTW, MHN first week All India Net Gross was 13.63 cr and K3G was 12.46 Cr. Lakshya is projected to be 'at least' 12 Cr.
