Producer-director-composer , Vishal Bharadwaj , who has become the prince of parallel cinema after ´Makdee´ and ´Maqbool´ , has bought the rights of Ruskin Bond´s ´The Blue Umbrella´ .

For those who are interested Ruskin Bond´s book , ´The Blue Umbrella´ has also been shortlisted for script analysis by the British Film Council and Vishal intends to co-produce the film based on the book , if things work out .
