I remember hearing about this. It's like the pakistani version of Gadar, and It's from the same company who made Ek Chhotisi love story....that's the connection with Shashilal Nair - paragon pictures who are "dedicated in making Controversial (more like sh!t-stirring) films". This film stirred up alot of Bad blood between sikhs and muslims when it was announced a few months back and there was a war of words on the official site's msg board. Enough cussing going on! I wondered what the moderator was up to.

Although the film-makers have high hopes for it, as it's the most expensive pakistani film ever, I think it would only be a hit amongst the UK pakistani community. The film-makers must be out of their mind if they think it will help good relations between Indians & Pakistanis / Sikhs & Muslims.

btw, shouldn't it be Kuri Punjaban?

Are there any theaters in the US and UK that play Pakistani films? The Indian-owned theaters may not want to play this, but they might if they think they can make some money. Is there even an audience within Pakistan for this film? ??? :)
