This may be old news to some.
Anant Balani the direcor of Jogges' Park and Mumbai Matinee had died on 29th August from a heart attack. The thing is many people don't seem to know, or were they trying to keep it quiet so his new releases would do well? If a director dies just before his film is released would people tend to not watch his film (for some strange reason)...(for fear of bad luck?). Someone told me India has supersitious belifs about things like this...and it's better not to bring it to peoples attention as it make affect their decision on seeing the film.

He has 3 films due out this yr, it's a shame he didn't live to see their release.

Anant Balani had disappeared from Bollywood scene for over a decade and had suddenly turned prolific with three films ready for release. These include Subhash Ghai's Jogger's Park, Pritish Nandy Communications' Mumbai Matinee and another film Ek Din starring Nandita Das. He was 42.
