I realize that the title of this thread might be an oxymoron, since it's pin-pointing to a one single score(from his large illustrious body of work) as "the best Rahman score ever". But some of my all time favourite Rahman scores are heavily induced by it's drum-work. Whether it's Ruth Aa Gayi Re, Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah, Roja Jaaneman, Sunta Hai Mera Khuda, Ghanan Ghanan, or Ye Jo Des Hai Tera. However, here in Water, it's infectious yet elusive, it's moody yet haunting, it's gloriously manipulative yet majestic.
