Do most(or any) Indian DVD producers file for Software Copyrights for there films? If so, does this prevent priacy?

The producer of the DVD can register his copyright at a government intellectual property office. The U.S. and Canada have such offices. Such registration provided a copyright certificate which can be used as evidence of copyright in court proceedings.
Law enforcement does not have the resources to deal with pirated Indian DVD's in Canada and the U.S.. The DVD producers also have not been able to unite to fight piracy.
Indian movie Piracy in DVD's will continue unless the rights holders form a united front to share the cost of civil enforcement. :ffs:
