I've seen these song dvd's, Aishwarya Rai Dhamaka and Madhuri Dhamaka. On just one disc there's over 50 songs on each of these dvd's. Hey, that's well over Four (4) hours!!
How could that be possible? The quality on the A. Rai Dhamaka were good, better than many Eros editions (and some Sushmita dances put in it too). However, there's no manufacturer name on the dvd.

Does anyone know if these are pirated/bootlegs (If so, a really nice job done indeed) or legit?

One distributor mentioned at one time that acceptd rule among Indian DVD companies is that they can include any song in their DVD. For movie DVD they need rights, but not for Song DVDs.

Don't expect original authoring on these grey area song DVDs. Songs are copied. Even if the movie DVD was progressive, song DVDs are interlaced. Also, 99% of the time, anamorphic DVD songs come out non-anamorphic and 33% stretched.

Legit and good quality song DVDs are the ones, done by DEI, where the original authoring has been used. Perhaps, Super Digital too produced a few original progressive authored song DVDs.

Grey area DVD's! Well if it's not forbidden i guess it's OK by definition. Thanks for the insights Rana.
Still a lot of stuff for your money in these. Wonder how they manage to put 4-4,5 hours on one single disc though?
Hopefully someone will re-issue these DEI editions
