Hi Folks
I was wondering, if anyone has access to the Binaca Geet Mala 2 Cd set. If you are music collector, this set is an absolute must for you. Where else can you hear the voice of Ameen Sayani ! I Think it was release by HMV... The best I have access to are LP's :D

17.99$ would be the cost..and 11$ for shipping :p .. Reminds me of DV4uonline.com :laugh: .. Any other sites or persons who may have access to these 2 cds ? (Oh yeah Genuine ones of cos.. not the replicated ones from you-know-where :D)

Ouch, that is expensive. It looks like the CD isn't widely available. You should post at news:rec.music.indian.misc, where it is more likely someone can help you.

Wasn't Binaca Geet Mala a countdown? Or was there more to it than just songs?

What kind of software is reasonably priced and can give a good analog to digital conversion for making CDs??

Is it worth it to convert our own old LPs into CDs before throwing LPs or is it better to buy those CDs, which are obviously made from analog original master, analog/ digital master made from original master or from LPs (analog)??

Monizam yeah I do ... it should be reasonably priced and not rip-off's ! I just asked this oyt of curiosity, as anyways I can get them in India, at a fraction of their cost... and they would be original CDs ! all the way :)

I converted two LPs of Binaca Geet Mala (25 Years celebration) into one CD.
The total play time (including both LPs) is around 86 minutes and I didn't want to waste additional CD as well as CD storage space. So, I cut some of the popular songs which I already have on other CDs but I kept the commentary by Ameen Sayani in full length.

I used Easy CD Creator to convert LPs into CDs and creating the artwork. The song list (inner and back cover) in the artwork is the picture from LP cover.

i have montego sound card i used that to convet lp into cd . i also use easy creator soft ware . i made few cds from old lps.
