Does anyone know what other Bollywood Blu rays are due out? It all seems to have gone a bit quiet now.

With regular English/American releases there are loads of sites that tell you when something is due.....seems a bit random with us though.

I hope Ghajini (remake) will be released on blu-ray. It could become the the highest grossing bollywood film of all time, before adjusting for inflation.

Personally I think Criterion has screwed up the classic by releasing the Blu-ray with a modified aspect ratio. I don't care what their excuse is for this but it is unpardonable considering that 'The Last Emperor' was awarded an Academy Award for it's cinematography. Also I cannot understand why they had to release this with only a 2.0 audio track. I wish this fil was with a bigger studio who would ahve had the budget to remix the sound for 5.1

The aspect ratio is what Storaro and Bertolucci wanted. Criterion has no choice but to follow. The 2.0 is disappointing. So are the halos in this transfer. Jodha looks technically better on Blu Ray.

Storaro ought to return the Academy Award too if he feels that this is the correct aspect ratio. Irrespective of what he wants now, there are serious doubts over his intentions on the issue, the fact is that the film that was awarded the Best Cinematography 'Oscar', is not what we get to see on the Blu-Ray.

Still, almost perfect film is must have on bluray for lovers! I have already seen it in 5 different forms.

Softer , I agree! I saw 2006 pink panther that appeared terrible imho, could not be worse imho.

I prefer my$ with ordinary looking AMADEUS than BEST LOOKING Saawariya! :)

Manjha (Creative Directo: Anurag Kashyap) is releasing on Blu Ray.

Never heard of this film ?? Neither did I.
Actually it's not a solo release. It's part of Slumdog Blu Ray.

Danny Boyle has chosen short film Manjha to be a part of SM Blu-ray disc
By Bollywood Hungama News Network, March 12, 2009 - 17:21 IST

Danny Boyle The Oscar winning director Danny Boyle will be releasing his film Slumdog Millionaire on Blu-ray soon and he has chosen a short film called Manjha to be part of this Blu-ray DVD release. Manjha is directed by Rahi Anil Barve who is currently busy preparing for his directorial debut with White Cloud Pictures. His forthcoming venture is titled Tumbad which is based on folk tales of Maharashtra with an underlay of horror.

Rahi is in all praises by the who's who of the industry.

Anurag Kashyap who is the Creative Producer of Rahi's film says, "Rahi Anil Barve is the most imaginative mind I have come across in this country so far. His imagination gives me a complex. When I met him the first time, it did not take me two seconds to say that lets do whatever you want to do which ever way you want to do it."

Danny Boyle is also going ga-ga about this. Danny said, "I'm delighted to include Manjha on the Blu-ray DVD release of Slumdog Millionaire throughout the world. Manjha is an extraordinary film. With little resources it is visually stunning and emotionally captivating. Surprising and gripping, it's everything a short film should be, and I look forward with great anticipation to the director Rahi's next project Tumbad."
