Definite evidence of DNR, but this is still quite a good Blu-ray experience. Nice to see this film in healthy condition - a commendable restoration effort by Shemaroo.

Now, Awara please.

Stephen, you must take a look at the restoration show reels by Shemaroo on YouTube. That may give you an idea about the titles they're planning or they've planned to restore.

I've seen those. Glad we'll see Sadma in HD at some point.

A shame so little of these restorations are making their way onto Blu-ray. A sign of the times, I guess: streaming/downloading seems to be what the future of film holds as physical formats become a thing of the past.

As if there are enough people who care about quality. They wouldn't even mind VCD upscales.

On a few forums, people actually like the quality of Devdas by BitWel. I don't see people being willing enough to care whether the content is in TrueHD or not

People don't really care about the digital format they download. Even if its a bootleg rip, they'd be content with it.

That's what make the disc makers even ignorant and lazier. They'd stop caring about quality just because a larger bunch of people don't mind bootleg quality prints.

So, in my opinion, its better to have stuff on physical format (on discs) with the best possible reproduction quality...
