Hi Sunny

Heard A P International releasing two more blu rays in Malayalam, Marykkundaru Kunjaadu and Christian Brothers, Can you please confirm u working or supervising these blu rays ? Any chance you can post some screen shots of these blu rays here, Can you confirm when we can expect Christian Brothers Blu ray ?

Last but not the least any chance we can get a same day release of KO bluray and DVD from Ayngaran ?

I can confirm that Marykkundaru Kunjaadu will be released on blu-ray.

Sadly, there was no DPX file for this film. We went to the original 35mm camera negatives and it was in a BAD state.
It had plenty of wear and tear that weren't repairable (unless we took it to Lowry - which is very unlikely).

In addition to this, the film had poor production values and contained some messed up lens/filmstock choices. Whoever was in charge of cinematography should have been fired!!!

Still the blu-ray looks better then the theatrical showing, and was telecined @ 2K approved by the film-maker (shudder).

I personally think the Malayalam industry needs a wake up call. Low budget should not mean comprimises. They should look at film industries in Iran, Turkey, South Korea... who produce amazing looking features for around the same budget. Maybe I should make a South Indian film to prove a point :) lol

AP International do produce the DVDs and Blu-ray at the same time.
However, it is Ayngaran who choose to delay the blu-ray releases. Not sure why... :-?
