How is the news that Excel will be releasing this summer in India and how about Sony for US?

Mr. Muslim Kapasi of Excel Video, has confirmed several times that Lagaan is scheduled for release on blu-ray in 2011. The 'June 2011' release date being bandied around, originated from a promo for the Lagaan blu-ray which is there in the Peepli [Live] BD. Since, Lagaan was originally released in June of 2001, it would make perfect marketing sense to release it on the tenth anniversary, to the month, of the original theatrical release of the movie. If Sony has any similiar plans, then one would expect an announcement in the next three months.

Seems like were not getting any 10th year anniversary special of Lagaan on Blu-ray. :(
