There is no need to reproduce promotional emails here, atleast a long as they do not clarify or add any new information. Also, information can and should be shared without reproducing emails here, ie. unless there is a very specific reason/need to reproduce an email. In any case, this thread is in the High-Definition section and therefore please limit the information provided to Blu-rays only. As for your post in question, it provides absolutely NO NEW INFORMATION and only re-iterates what has already been posted by others. Therefore the only purpose of your post, seems to be to promote yourself (company) and to direct/generate sales/pre-orders for your company. This is not permitted or acceptable on this forum and therefore you are requested to desist from any such posts in the future.

This is in response to questions asked by some members.

The Excel blu-ray release of Peepli [Live] is restricted to India only and plans for an overseas release are not yet finalized. Although in all probablitiy the release should be sometime in January 2011, ie. in time for promotional activities for the Academy Awards. For those who may not be aware, Peepli [Live] is India's official entry to the Academy Awards for this year.

As already reported by 'newdeep' earlier, the Excel BD will be Region A/B/C, but will officially only be available for sale in India.

The following is a direct quote from Mr. Muzlim Kapasi of Excel Home Video:
"Since we have been asked by Aamir Khan Productions', the BD and DVD authoring and replication quality monitoring and approvals is being coordinated by Excel only, though Excel has the rights to sell it in India only."

Thus, it seems that although Excel will be marketing the blu-ray in India only, the overseas blu-ray, irrespective of which company actually markets it, will be identical to the Excel blu-ray.

Shipping this week to those who pre-ordered. The blu-ray should be available at retail in stores next week.
