Endhiran DVD will release as 2 disc version. Disc 1 = Dolby 5.1 / Disc 2 = DTS 5.1
The DVD was made from the intermediate negative.
No Special features are included. No deal could be reached to obtain them or the DPX file.
Personally, I would wait for the blu-ray from Sun Pictures (as it will be made from DPX with HD sound).

does this mean a possibility of the Blu-ray releasing first before the Ayn DVD?
in that case, i suppose it is a tactic used by Sun to boost its bluray sales..

no way that too we cant expect from indian bluray comp especially sun tv
expected date as in ayngaran site is today 11-1-11(all ones;) )

I know this is Blu ray thread but in relation to the post above, can someone enlighten me (as my GK is poor on these) that for a DVD how much difference does it make if the source is DPX or Intermediate negative? For one I know that for a BD there is nothing better than DPX but considering dvd 's format limitation, is the difference noticeable?

Also, in general for BD I sometimes get confused when they state this is scanned from 4k negative. is that same as DPX or better than DPX? pardon me My question may be wrongly framed but i am just seeking knowledge.

I did not work on the Telugu blu-ray version of the film!

I think certain people want to associtate my name with this project... I guess my name means quality :)

I can reveal that the Telugu blu-ray version sucks big time. Colour timing is all wrong and the picture is cropped.

Picture is cropped - I have compared the Telugu blu-ray with my own JPEG2K copy (used for digital screenings). I cannot post JPEGK screenshots here... process is too long.

If I get a chance I'll do it.
