I am surprised there's no review here of "Kaminey". Has anyone seen the Moserbaer BD? The Blu-ray.com screenshots look awful!

Speaking of Blu-ray.com, where's Sanjay bhai?? I heard he got suspended on Blu-Ray.com for posting links to zulm!
Yeh tho bada zulm hain!

I am on a sort of forced sabbatical from reviews for a little while, hopefully not too long. Actually, there has been quite a bit going on, including a couple of days stay in the hospital and more importantly the lamp on my projector dying. So the reviews are on hold until I get the lamp replaced, hopefully for not too long.

Regarding the suspension from Blu-ray.com, the posting of links to Zulm.net, is just an excuse. Actually they gave no reason for the suspension. The fact is, the admins/mods or should I say, one specific mod is responsible for the suspension, simply because he found me and my reviews a threat to his/their non existent 'official' reviews. The popularity of my reviews and my blunt and honest comments targetting their so called 'partners' is something that does not go down well with them. Personally I think, this is a good thing, now we can all bring the Indian blu-ray discussion to where it belongs, i.e. Zulm.net. Here we all, including the admins and owner, understand the history of frustrations that we consumers have had to bear over the years from the Indian video companies. Most importantly, people with vested interests are not allowed to roam free and promote their business interests while the admins protect them from the consumers genuine grievances.

But Sanjay bhai, how will we manage without the expertise of the 'insiders' on those forums?!??!!?!

Seriously though, I agree with you completely - the Blu-ray.com forums are a joke, with constant advertising being posted on the forums for each and every BD release. And you're right about one moderator controlling things - I complained to one of the mods about the list of online retailers, where 6 different URLs were posted, all leading to the same site. That posted was deleted, but then restored by another mod, as the original poster apparently had insider info. Would be interested to find out exactly how much contact they have with the likes of Eros and YRF, aside from the usual retailer-distributor contact.

Rant over, apologies for going off topic!

Your projector lamp can be bought, your health cannot. Hope all's well with you, take care...

... and I agree on your comments regarding Blu-Ray.com. I thought some of the comments made to your posts lately were uncalled for... and it's beyond belief how the vendor with 10 avatars (we should call him "Raavan" maybe? :)) is even allowed to post anything there??! That company is a joke and the amount of lies they propogate with releases and "insider info" is plain wrong!

Any exclusive insiders there who know what they are talking about and don't have an annoying attitude? :D

Its great to see so many fellow bluray.com members here. I hope people here can speak out their mind without getting banned for saying the right things.

Anyway, I will hopefully have the Kaminey BD with me tonight and will post my thoughts. A friend of mine from India will bring the BD with him tonight. He mentioned that the authoring has issues with black level raised heaviliy and the film looking too dark and dull compared to the DVD.

Will see how it looks on my projector.
