I can now confimed that Raavan (Tamil) version will be coming to blu-ray from Ayngaran...

We are using the DPX master supervised by Mani Ratnam. In addtion, we will use the 5.1 DTS-MA studio master approved by A.R. Rahman.

Release date will be around late Aug/Early Sep.

No special features have yet to be confirmed.

Fantastic, this is sort of effort and initiative i was looking forward from Indian blu-ray studios. I hope this could a practice in future for any blockbuster movies to be released in Blu-ray.

Great news Sunny. Watched this Movie today, it was great; technically superb, amazing cinematography with great location, and music from Ar Rahman.
I will definitely buy this Blu-ray.

That is a great news Sunny. It is a blind buy for me. I did not see the movie in theater, I am sure watching it in blu-ray will be better than watching it in a theater for me. Also please keep us posted on the other Mani Ratnam movie you are working on.

Thanks for your great news, Are you working on any Malayalam Bluerays by any chance, Is AP releasing any Malayalam Bluerays, When can we expect sura and Singham on Blueray ? Have you had a look at Pazhassiraja Blueray by Moserbaer and also they releasing Chattambinadu Blueray soon.

I'm not working on any Malayalam bu-rays.

Singham blu-ray is being discussed. However this yet to be confirmed.

Sura was a mega flop so it won't be releasing on blu-ray.

I avoid ALL Moserbaer DVD and blu-ray titles.

Singam is a sure hit and its worth of being released on blu-ray

im gona surely buy this one. thanks for the heads up sunny :)

but an august/sept release...?

isnt that a bit early....or am i thinking of english movies which only come out on dvd/bd after 6-8months...?
