Framing looks messed up - 2.45:1 instead of 2.35:1, resulting in squashed faces.

I'll wait for the Cinedrome version. So far it seems like unless there's a DI, Indian studios don't know how to make a Blu-ray. And even then its debatable...

There is no comparison with Devdas here. DCH from T-Series is real HD. Devdas is (bad) DVD quality.

I checked 4 frames and there is picture missing on top and bottom. More on bottom. There is no squashing, though. Because of the missing borders you are not seeing some things you actually don't want to see (splices, dirt, hairs...). Ideally you want the whole picture and no flaws. Unfortunately practically all pre DI films have visible splices and dirty edits. So you zoom them away or you have to do digital cleanup, edit by edit.

Thanks MHafner for the comparison shot .. no doubt your product is much superior than the current T-Series release. HD Followers will no doubt wait it out for the Cinedrome version. Hope it is very soon :D

Thanks 'mhafner' for the screenshot. It is definately much superior to the T-Series screenshot and restores my faith in humanity. THere is still reason to live. :) Now if only we could have some idea how much longer we will have to wait for the final Blu-ray. It would make the task of discouraging people from buying the T-Series 'watermark' infested Blu-ray of this well loved movie.

The DOP knows, maybe. Or the wardrobe master.
You balance the shot so skin etc. looks right. The clothes then fall into place.
The T-Series example skin looks purplish and the water and sky greenish.
There is not necessarily one correct solution only, but it must make sense in the
context and the whole scene must be consistent from shot to shot.

Lol! There will be a due concern, despite skin tones that DVD manufacturer or author choose their own fav colors to dress the wardrobe! Did you ask farina what color he intended pretty to wear? Or what actually she was wearing is the correct color? :(

Farina? Farhan?
If the director wants some colors changed in the end it can still be done. Till then many other things need to be done first...
