Except for Pokkiri, the remaining Ayngaran Blu-rays are not made from negative. They are from 2K/4K DPX source which is measured at 23.97fps and the blu-ray captures every aspect of it - frame by frame.

The character with green towel are not fuzzy - they are just in fast motion as he is moving his hand (in a long shot).

24fps does not always capture every movements clearly, particularly when fast. Because of this a "judder" like motion appears.

Check out this link which explains it much better than I could: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_rate ... frame_rate

One rule of film-making is: The more frames shot per second = capture of movement improves.

Next year will see a 48/60fps release of The Hobbit and Avatar 2. I guess Hollywood big wigs wants to move away from the 80+ year old 24 frame system.

Hope that explains it for you.

Hopefully, they will. It is one of the best Tamil movies to have come out this year.

mr padmanabhan it will not be released the future releases are boss engira baskaran, ko. Engayem kaadhal from ayngaran and possible shiruthai from adchaya media .

Is there any validity to this claim by subu_100000 that the Madrasapattinam blu-ray isn't going to be released? Also, do you have any info regarding the other releases mentioned?

Sunny, do you have any info about these possible blu-ray releases? I realize that these aren't Ayngaran projects, but I just thought that you might have some insider info as you are in the field..
