Steelbooks are cool. Sadly, due to financial reasons we cannot do this.
I would rather spend most the budget on a quality picture and sound :)

Hi Shahran,

Im bit sad with cinemas in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia. Some of brilliant fight scenes were taken off during the show. This has made some of looking for a *pirated* dvd over here. But this should not be the case with blu-ray. Can you confirm if there's not cut in blu-ray (obviously no cuts), but hoping for a full movie with some special features. Hopefully a steelbook for a first of a kind movie will be highly considered. This will bring an Indian movie to the next level in blu-ray market.

Please kindly consider the request. Any price tag for Endhiran blu-ray will do..it doesn't matter eventually.

Cheerio
Dev

Sadly the film was censored in strict countries like UAE & Malaysia.

The blu-ray & DVD from Ayngaran will be the Original Cinema Version (as shown in Chennai). The fight and climax scenes are intact :)

No steelbook release for this film.

I've just been informed that the blu-ray bid for the film was not successful.
As a result Ayngaran will not be working on the blu-ray release.

Wth? You must be kidding. We are all expecting Ayngaran to release the Blu-ray sometime next year and its not happening? Im truely disappointed. Could it be Big Home Pictures? or SunTV itself releasing the blu-ray? Who knows they might get equipped for the BD release..

I was looking forward to working on the biggest Indian film, and giving it a bloody good HD transfer.

Hearing about the failed bid has saddened me. Since the Tamil blu-ray industry is drying up, I might have to consider other alternatives.

"Drying up?" It started out dessicated! Only Ayngaran puts out any Tamil BRs. I'm saddened to hear that you will not be working on the Ayngaran Blu-Ray of Enthiran. I was looking forward to purchasing this. I hope it will still turn out well, though I'm not holding my breath.

Hi Friends

I know why this is because sun pictures foreay in to Home video market in Feb 2011 , they launching Enthiran DVD and blu ray as their launching product, heard they are starting in international as well , so that could be the reason they wanna keep the rights within themselves.dont want ayngaran to release.

This is only a heard news and not confirmed one.............

Just for the record I do not work for either companies; AP International or Ayngaran International. I simple ensure they process the blu-ray work correctly under my proper guidelines and instructions all on a voluntary basis. I offer technical advise and also check the project files before they are replicated.

I've been getting many e-mail complaints about Ayngaran not getting the blu-ray rights to this film. You need to voice your concerns to Ayngaran themselves.

@Sunny - Hats off to you my man! Voluntary work uh. That's incredible. I was under the impression that you did charge because you'd mentioned the Tamil BD industry is drying up and you need to look for something else. Guess assumption is the mother of all eff ups:) Kudos to you brother!!! Keep up the good work.
