It really makes me sick after seeing films or promos of hindi films that are exact copy of hollywood movies.
I saw the promo of awara pagaal deewana, and the actions scenes are exact copy of THE MATRIX.
I also saw one another promo of the movie called yeh kya ho raha hai, and it is the copy of AMERICAN PIE.
i also hear that yash chopra productions is making a movie that is the copy of WHEN HARRY MET SALLY, and the list goes on and on.

what bollywood should do is come up with their own original ideas, so that the viewers will also be more interested to watch them.

i really wanted my cousins to see Leon, because i thought they would really like it.. but before i got a chance, they said we'd watch Bichoo, because they thought it was quite good, and i'd like it... maybe i would've, if i had never seen Leon b4!!

JESUS!! was i shocked when i realised what i was watching. A complete rip off from Leon, almost scene for scene in places, but in every way completely inferior.. what was the freaking point??

The whole ending of Leon was somewhat less of an impact when i got round to show it to them... but my cousins now hate Bichoo as much as i do (songs are good though) because they saw how great Leon was... there just isn't any point, in remaking such a good movie with so little money.. and messing the whole storyline by making Portman's character twice as old!!! WTF!!

I don't mind if they take the basic theme/premise of a hollywood movie and use it as a very loose foundation... i.e. Satya = Scarface/Carlito'sWay but injects original characters and situations. But copying scene for scene does my head in... and to copy The Matrix's lobby scene makes ZERO sense... that took Hollywood money and revolutionary SFX... i can't wait to see how they botch it up. And i remember that promo showed more rip-offs from other films!!

and agree, surely there must be original writers in India, christ, it's the 2nd biggest country in the world!!! It's bad enough that Hollywood copies itself, let alone another film industry thousands of miles away!!! :vsneaky:
